Tuition of the highest standard

We specialise in tailor-made courses for individuals and small groups:

• secondary school pupils;
• young adults (17-23) of student age, and
• mature adults.

Because of our approach to tailor-made courses, there are no pre-set dates. Clients themselves decide the starting date and duration of their course, and, in short, come when they choose and stay for as long as they choose.

The precise daily timetable is similarly negotiable. Most students, however, opt to have their tuition in the morning, which leaves the afternoon / early evening for written assignments, audio-visual work, and leisure activities. The balance between these will vary from day to day.

Our courses reflect the variety of students:

• General English;
• English for Special Purposes;
• Business English;
• English for examination syllabuses either the student’s own country, or the UK/US suites, of which "Cambridge" (UK) and TOEFL (US) are the best known;
• Our Unique Independent Schools Foundation Courses;
• English for Pleasure — usually mature adults who wish to improve their English but are under no academic or professional pressure to pass examinations.

For reasonably advanced EFL students, we can offer courses, experienced through the medium of English; these could be more academic in nature, e.g. English literature, the History of Britain, or for business clients, a project related to their own work back home which will involve meeting their British professional counterparts or potential trading partners.

Things we need to know about you:

• Your current level of English — just complete our Diagnostic Test
• The purpose of your visit — i.e. business, preparation for a particular examination, general English
• When and how long you wish to / are able to stay — specify this on our Enrolment Form
